Detroit to upset Atlanta? Baltimore to win in London? Papi’s NFL Week 3 Previews
Detroit Lions to upset Atlanta Falcons? Philadelphia Eagles to beat the New York Giants? Baltimore Ravens to win in London? Enough of the guesses, here’s what IS going to happen. Welcome to Papi’s previews. By Cameron Storer.
Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers: Rams
Rams are the dark horse of the NFC West. Hard luck-losers last week to a strong Washington team, I’d pick the Rams to win on the road against one of the worst teams in the league. 24-6.
Baltimore Ravens @ Jacksonville Jaguars: Ravens
Before week 1, this seemed a no brainer, now it’s a little tougher. The first international series of the season, it isn’t really a ‘home’ game for the Jaguars, if it was, they may be my upset of the week. As it is, I’ve got the Ravens to go 3-0 in this one. 27-21.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Minnesota Vikings: Tampa
One of the tougher picks of the weekend, two outsiders for a run in the postseason. Minnesota are unsettled at QB, Tampa’s D is legit, I think Tampa get out of the twin cities with the W. 24-14.
Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets: Miami
The Jets are one of if not THE worst team in the league. This could be one on their radar that they have to have, a divisional match-up at home, I don’t see it. Fresh off the win, Jay Cutler leads the Dolphins to another win on the road. 27-13.
Houston Texans @ New England Patriots: New England
Surely there is only one winner? Houston beat a poor Bengals side last Thursday, even with their extra prep, I can’t see New England losing at home back-to-back against ANYONE let alone a sub-par Texans. 14-33.
Cleveland Browns @ Indianapolis Colts: Cleveland
COME ON CLEVELAND…I BELIEVE! Hue Jacksons Browns have improved from last season and have had a tough start. If they play like they do against Pittsburgh, you got this. Colts will not be easy after an OT loss to Arizona, but I believe in the Browns D. 16-14.
New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers: Carolina
This is a huge game in the NFC South. It’ll be close, it’ll be physical and for that reason alone, I got Carolina to go 3-0 (I may be wrong on this one). The crowd could play a factor, but I’ve got Carolina’s D > New Orleans D, and that’s where this game will be won and lost. 24-27.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Chicago Bears: Pittsburgh
The Steelers could and should move to 3-0 in the Windy City. The Bears have started poor, and although they were unfortunate at home week 1 versus the defending NFC Champs, I can only see one winner in this one. 31-17.
New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles: Philadelphia
Even in week 3, you could call this a must win game for the Giants, they won’t. Their O-Line is pathetic, on the road you need an O-Line; Eagles to fly high. 17-28.
Denver Broncos @ Buffalo Bills: Denver
Buffalo’s week 1 win seems a long time ago. The Broncos were too good against the Cowboys and Dallas are better than Buffalo. Denver got this one, easily. 27-6.
Atlanta Falcons @ Detroit Lions: Detroit
This is a Papi shout. I am not sure why, but I’ve got a feeling Detroit upset the Atlanta apple cart at Ford Field. The Lions are good, I’m not sure how good, but we’ll know more after this game. I THINK Detroit got this, I believe. 33-35.
Seattle @ Tennessee Titans: Seattle
I hope I’m wrong, but I probably won’t be. Tennessee improved against the Jaguars but that wasn’t very hard as they stunk up the joint in week 1. I can’t see the Titans scoring points. Even with Seattle’s pathetic O-Line, I’ve got the Seahawks. 17-9.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Green Bay Packers: Green Bay
He’s a baaaaaaad man. I expect that dude #12 Rodgers, to bounce back in a big way from a horror show in the ATL. Marvin Lewis couldn’t lead America to a victory in the invasion of Greenland. Go Pack Go. 16-35.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers: Kansas City
This is a harder choice than it might seem. The Chargers are 0-2, the Chiefs are 2-0, but in both losses the Chargers were just one kick away with 5 seconds left. This will be tough for KC, but I rate them in the top 10 teams in the NFL. I predict them to control the clock and get the W. 24-20.
Oakland Raiders @ Washington Redskins: Oakland
This might be heart over head. I want Oakland to do my Cowboys a favour ahead of MNF, but I also believe they can. It will be a tough game, and you can argue for either side. I just believe in Derek Carr more than I do Kirk Cousins. Oakland to walk out of the capital with a swag. 31-24.
Dallas Cowboys @ Arizona Cardinals: Dallas
HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS?! Tough game, pressure on both teams to deliver, I got ma’ boys in this one. Zeke needs to rebound (if eligible), Dak needs to show up, and that D needs to perform like it did against New York. I would think Arizona should be favourites, but I don’t care. 27-21.
Cleveland in Indy or Detroit over ATL. Beware.
